    Hi all,

We are trying to set up a small prescription ONLY printer in our ED department. We uploaded an npr report we received from another site doing this using a citizen printer. Unfortunately citizen no longer makes/supports the printer they are using so we were unable to purchase one. We tried a Zebra printer, but cannot get it to print our discharge scripts from RXM. Does anyone have a prescription printer that is working for you and if so would you please share the printer and your npr report with us? We are MAGIC 5.66 pp8.

    Thank you,
    Sandy DePlonty

    Sandy,

We are a CS 5.66 pp8 client but we do not use the special printers for Scripts. We use a normal laser printer and added an additional tray to it. We named that tray with a RX on the back of the printer name. It works great for use. They just order special 8.5 x 11 script paper. We send most of our scripts electronically.

We are a Magic site moving to Expanse. We currently use Star thermal printer due to a small foot print and being able to put the printer close to the provider printing the prescriptions. I notice that Expanse does not support thermal printers for printing prescriptions. What are other facilities using?

    Thank you,
